Chabad of Montclair invites you to join us for a Tu Bishvat Seder & Dinner. 

Celebrate the New Year of the trees with a mystical Seder, along with a delectable 5 course vegetarian feast, prepared by Chef Tanya Solomon.  

Adult: $72
Child: $36
Half of the proceeds will benefit Chabad of Montclair 

Thursday, Jan 28th, 6:30 - 7:30 PM.
Dinner order deadline: Jan 27, 8:00 PM

The food will be delivered to your home on Thursday, Jan 28th. You will receive a zoom link upon registration.

About our Chef: Chef Tanya Solomon has been a professional Chef for over 20 years and is a Food Network Champion. 

Menu (Our menu will incorporate the 7 types of fruit and grain that are associated with Tu Bishvat)

 

Amuse Bouche
Walnut Pate Profiterole with Fresh Grapes
Pat a Choux puff pastry (Wheat) filled with savory Walnut Pate made from Walnuts, Egg, Haricot Verde (Green Beans) Caramelized Shallots and Fresh Herbs 

 

Soup
Wild Mushroom, Arugula and Barley Soup with Fresh Thyme 
A melange of “wild” Mushrooms stewed with Pearl Barley, Baby Arugula, Caramelized Aromatics and garnished with fresh Herbs.

 

Main Entree
Acorn Squash with Moroccan Quinoa Pilaf with Mint 

 

Palate Cleanser
Meyer Lemon and Ruby Grapefruit Sorbet 

 

Dessert
Honey and Rum soaked Date and Fig Cake with Earl Grey-Cardamom drizzle and garnished with Pomegranate


“New” Fruit ( It is customary to make a "Shechiyanu" Blessing over a fruit)
Yellow Dragon Fruit slices. Yellow Dragon Fruit’s flavor is similar to Kiwi crossed with Pear. One should eat it peeled. The white fruit is speckled with edible black seeds and can aid in digestion.
